Built for Independent Chefz Who Take Their Craft Seriously.

All Dem Chefz™ welcomes culinary talent from many backgrounds, but every participating Chef must meet the standards required to protect customers, maintain trust, and strengthen the network.

Basic Eligibility

To apply, a Chef must generally

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Operate as an independent culinary professional
  • Provide accurate identity information
  • Have the legal right to work and provide services
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Maintain professional communication
  • Provide truthful experience information
  • Register as an individual — never on behalf of a restaurant, chain, or franchise

Independent Chef Requirement

Exclusively for independent culinary talent

Working at a restaurant does not disqualify you — individual Chefz are welcome for their own independent work. What we don't accept is a restaurant, chain, or franchise registering as a business entity.

  • Corporate food-service companies
  • Ghost-kitchen networks owned by large corporations
  • Businesses attempting to disguise restaurant operations as private-Chef services

All Dem Chefz™ reserves the right to determine whether a business meets the platform's independent-Chef standard.

  • Culinary background and years of experience
  • Typical guest capacity and pricing ranges
  • Four to five original dish photographs

Food-Safety Requirements

Comply with all applicable food-safety rules

Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Approval in one market does not automatically authorize a Chef to provide every service in another market.

Insurance Requirements

Certain services may require proof of insurance

Higher-risk, corporate, luxury, or large-event opportunities may require additional coverage.

Food Photography Requirements

Four to five clear photographs of your actual work

Profiles containing copied or fraudulent photography may be rejected or removed.

  • Show food prepared by the Chef or their culinary business
  • Be clear and well lit
  • Accurately represent the Chef's capabilities
  • Avoid stolen or stock imagery presented as original work
  • Avoid misleading enhancements
  • Avoid third-party branding without permission

Professional Standards

What Chefz are expected to do

  • Respond professionally
  • Arrive on time
  • Maintain proper hygiene
  • Follow agreed menus
  • Communicate delays immediately
  • Maintain accurate availability
  • Honor confirmed commitments
  • Follow food-safety procedures

Dietary and Allergy Responsibilities

Clearly state which dietary needs you can safely accommodate

Chefz must never claim an allergy-safe or certified preparation capability they cannot reliably provide. Customers and Chefz should communicate directly about severe allergies before confirming service.

Background Standards

Disclosure relevant to safety and trust

Applicants may be asked to disclose information relevant to safety and trust. Certain convictions, fraud findings, violations, or misconduct may trigger additional review, restrictions, denial, suspension, or removal — all following applicable law and our verification policy.
