1. Independent Business
Each Chef operates independently and is responsible for determining how to conduct lawful culinary services. Chefz are not employees, agents, or franchisees of All Dem Chefz™.
2. Chef Eligibility
Chefz must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate identity information, operate legally, maintain required permits and licenses, maintain required food-safety credentials, maintain applicable insurance, use original or authorized photographs, provide services within their actual ability, and comply with the Independent Chef Promise.
3. Marketplace Exclusions
The Platform is not intended for national chains, franchises, large corporate restaurant groups, ineligible restaurant operations, or businesses misrepresenting independent status. Small independent culinary businesses may be reviewed individually.
4. Profile Accuracy
Chefz must maintain accurate biography, experience, credentials, service area, availability, guest capacity, cuisine specialties, pricing, photographs, dietary capabilities, and verification information. Misrepresentation may result in suspension or removal.
5. Opportunity Responses
Chefz should respond only when they reasonably believe they can perform the service. Declining an unsuitable opportunity does not by itself reduce ChefScore™. Accepting opportunities and repeatedly failing to respond, submitting deceptive offers, or cancelling without valid reason may affect account standing.
6. Chef Offers™
Chef Offers™ must clearly state menu, price, inclusions, exclusions, grocery responsibility, staffing, travel, setup, cleanup, taxes and charges, deposit, payment schedule, cancellation policy, material requirements, and allergy limitations. Undisclosed mandatory charges are prohibited.
7. Service Performance
Chefz agree to arrive within the agreed window, communicate delays, follow the agreed menu, use safe ingredients, maintain professional hygiene, respect customer property, provide qualified staff, follow dietary instructions, complete agreed setup and cleanup, avoid intoxication, avoid unauthorized guests, and maintain professionalism.
8. Food Safety
Chefz must comply with the Food Safety Requirements and applicable law. Chefz are solely responsible for determining whether a kitchen is approved, a permit is required, home preparation is lawful, cottage-food rules apply, temperature controls are adequate, transportation is safe, and allergen representations are accurate.
9. Assistants and Staff
Chefz are responsible for hiring, paying, supervising, insuring, training, legally classifying, and screening their assistants and staff. Only authorized personnel may access customer information.
10. Pricing and Taxes
Chefz control their pricing, subject to accurate disclosure. Chefz are responsible for income tax, sales or meals tax, payroll obligations, business registrations, tax reporting, invoices, and records. All Dem Chefz™ may collect or remit certain taxes where legally required.
11. Insurance
We may require insurance for certain categories. Chefz must not submit altered, expired, or misleading insurance documents. Insurance verification does not expand coverage or guarantee that a claim will be paid.
12. Payments and Payouts
Chefz authorize the Platform and payment processor to collect customer payments, deduct disclosed charges, address refunds, hold disputed amounts, offset authorized amounts, and issue payouts. Payout timing may be affected by banking schedules, risk reviews, disputes, and legal requirements.
13. Cancellations
Chefz must honor accepted bookings unless cancellation is necessary. Chef cancellations may lead to customer refunds, loss of payout, reimbursement obligations, ranking effects, account restrictions, or removal for repeated conduct. Emergency and unavoidable circumstances may be reviewed individually.
14. Customer Information
Chefz may use customer information only for responding to requests, performing bookings, necessary follow-up, lawful recordkeeping, and marketing specifically permitted by the customer. Chefz may not sell, scrape, or repurpose customer data.
15. Off-Platform Transactions
Chefz may not use the Platform to obtain a customer and then intentionally move the transaction outside the Platform to avoid applicable fees, protections, or records. Reasonable exceptions may be defined by written policy.
16. Reviews
Chefz may request honest reviews but may not purchase positive reviews, require a positive rating, review themselves, use family or employees without disclosure, threaten customers, suppress legitimate criticism, offer compensation conditioned on sentiment, or retaliate for honest feedback.
17. Complaints and Investigations
Chefz agree to cooperate with reasonable investigations. We may request messages, receipts, ingredient records, licenses, insurance, photographs, staff information, timeline details, and refund proposals.
18. Removal
Grounds for removal may include fraud, unsafe food handling, repeated serious complaints, stolen photographs, false credentials, discrimination, harassment, unauthorized off-platform conduct, review manipulation, illegal service, or failure to maintain required documentation.
19. No Exclusivity
Chefz may use other platforms and serve customers independently, subject to obligations concerning Platform-obtained customers and confidential information.
20. Acceptance
Using a Chef account constitutes acceptance of this Agreement.
